At this point Real Geeks has notified us that the site is built & is ready to be hosted
Now you need to go to the domain that you bought for the site when going through the onboarding portal
You’re going to change the domain’s DNS settings and point the website towards your new Real Geeks site
Luckily this is very easy & only takes a few minutes – follow the 2 steps below
Click HERE to manage your domain
Click “Manage domains” in the top right
Click “Manage” on the domain that you already bought for your site while going through the initial onboarding portal
On the left side bar, click DNS – as shown in the image to the right
Now you should be on the DNS section
At the top you’ll see two tabs like shown in the image below:
Yours will say Default name servers (Active)
Click on the “Custom name servers” tab
You will see boxes to add name servers in
You need to add the following 4 name servers in those boxes:
ns1.rgnameserver.comns2.rgnameserver.comns3.rgnameserver.comns4.rgnameserver.com
After you enter the first two name servers, click “Add another name server” to enter the last two
Your screen should like the screenshot above
Click save at the bottom
Then click “Switch to these settings” and you’re all set
It will say that it takes up to 48 hours to update these DNS settings, but that’s almost never the case
Your site should be up within a few minutes if you followed the above instructions correctly
As soon as you complete the above steps, send an email to thomas@baltaymedia.com
The ads will be live 24 hours after this!
